Nokia today announced its phone recycling ‘take-back’ program for the Indian region. The initiative is a result of a survey where India was at the bottom of the chart with only 17 percent having knowledge of recyclability of phones.

Thus, from tomorrow, users will be able to drop in their old phones (irrespective of the brand) as well accessories like chargers, headsets into the bins set up at various Nokia Priority Dealers and Nokia Care Centers. To lure users to adopt the green way, Nokia will be giving out surprise gifts as well as planting a tree for every handset dropped.

You can learn more about the recycling process from here.
